Last updated: June 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Brick Grading Authority, LLC, a California limited liability company that operates BrickFolio ("BrickFolio," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the BrickFolio mobile application and website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Transaction information — items you buy and sell, order history, prices, and order status.
- Shipping information — the shipping and return addresses you provide so orders can be delivered.
- Payment and payout information — processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Sellers provide identity and bank-account details directly to Stripe for verification and payouts (see Section 3).
- Collection & listing content — the sets and parts you catalog, listing details, and photos you upload.
- Device & usage information — device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, and how you interact with the Service, collected to operate and improve it and to diagnose crashes.
- Communications — messages you send to us or to other users through the Service, and support requests.
2. How we use information
- To provide and operate the Service, including cataloging, listings, checkout, and order fulfillment;
- To process payments, payouts, and refunds, and to detect and prevent fraud;
- To generate shipping labels and provide order tracking;
- To communicate with you about orders, account activity, and support;
- To maintain marketplace trust and safety, including dispute resolution and enforcement of our Terms;
- To improve the Service, including diagnosing problems and developing new features;
- To comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting (such as issuing 1099-K forms where required).
3. Payments & financial data
Payments and seller payouts are handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor, using Stripe Connect. When you pay or register as a seller, your payment card or bank details are collected and stored by Stripe under its own privacy practices. BrickFolio does not store full payment card numbers. We receive limited information from Stripe needed to operate the marketplace, such as transaction status and verification results. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Other users. To complete a transaction, a buyer's shipping details are shared with the seller fulfilling the order, and seller information needed for the sale is shared with the buyer.
- Payment processing. With Stripe, to process payments, payouts, and verification.
- Shipping & carriers. With our shipping provider and carriers, to generate labels and provide tracking.
- Service providers. With vendors that host our infrastructure, provide crash reporting, and support customer service, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal & safety. When required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of BrickFolio, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Camera & photos
If you grant permission, the Service uses your device camera to recognize LEGO® sets and to let you add photos to your collection and listings. Images you capture are used to provide these features. We do not access your camera or photo library without your permission, which you can change at any time in your device settings.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information after account closure where required to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials confidential.
8. Your rights & choices

10. Cookies & analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and to understand usage.
